Intel, the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer announced yesterday (Wednesday 6 July) that they were investing in Morgan Freeman's new company - ClickStar.
ClickStar aims to release movies over the internet before they are available on DVD and maybe even while they are being shown in theatres.
So why is Intel investing in a film distribution company!? To promote PCs as the main device on which households watch films. I guess Intel are doing some work on integrating "Digital Rights Management" (DRM) technology into their microprocessors?
In any case, things are really moving in the "digital film distribution" space!
Great studio name and production company to own.
